Welcome all agnostics, don’t knows and fence sitters! Hopefully the pages on this SMART site will help you decide to get off the fence, on the side of what we believe to be reason and logic. If you do, that doesn’t necessarily mean you will declare there is no God - not even SMART people know that for sure (although we regard it as highly unlikely).

Our efforts are all aimed at exposing the evil known as organized religion*. In its worst form religion can brainwash people into performing the most heinous acts against others whose only “crime” is that they hold different beliefs! But even when benign, religion is still a cynical “business” that manipulates and controls. It robs people of the freedom and dignity of being able to determine their own destiny in life and it perpetrates the despicable lie that God requires you to live your life following a set of rules as laid out in an ancient book and interpreted by your particular religion.

Of course, every religion interprets these rules differently and warns its “customers” about the dangers of false prophets i.e. any religion other than their own! This explains all the religious wars of the past and the situation we have today with religious based conflicts all over the world.

We encourage you to become a SMART person and get involved! Read this site and the others linked to it. Arm yourself with knowledge and logical arguments so you can rebuke religious myth and propaganda whenever you encounter it. Help make our world a better place by joining the campaign to rid the world of the evil known as religion.

* SMART Society's definition of religion is any organisation that:
(1) claims to know for certain that there is a creator of the universe, and
(2) claims that it represents that creator's will on Earth and therefore has the authority to tell people how to live their lives.

** A few religions do not believe in an omnipotent creator God, but they all believe in some kind of super-natural higher power.
